What is Louis Roederer?
Louis Roederer is a collection of Champagnes made primarily from estate-grown grapes across a vast holding of approximately 240 hectares of vineyards, supplemented by partner growers' grapes for some cuvées, mainly in Grand and Premier Cru vineyards.
These plots cover Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs, showcasing diverse Champagne terroirs. The estate is a leader in organic and biodynamic farming and maintains one of the largest certified biodynamic vineyard areas in the Champagne region.
In the cellar, grapes from each plot are vinified separately in hundreds of small tanks and oak casks before blending, preserving the character of each site. The core range includes:
- Collection Series — The house’s signature multi-vintage blend (replacing the former Brut Premier).
- Vintage Series — Including Vintage, Rosé, and Blanc de Blancs expressions.
- Brut Nature — A zero-dosage Champagne created in collaboration with designer Philippe Starck.
- Cristal & Cristal Rosé — The flagship prestige cuvées, produced only in exceptional years from 100% estate-grown fruit.
